I have stayed in blue ocean about 20 days straight. There, sometimes I wiht my close friend and sometimes I was alone. I put some important elements that we can carry closely to achieve best results in blue ocean. Following are the details

Market Study
We have to do more research. Get what is actual big market there that 60 percent people involved. This is our target market. Like me, I know that big income people are from marine support business. We would be better if know what is state goverment’s future planning and what business and investment(local or foriegn) will coming for our blue ocean.

Proper Budget
After all, budget is very important thing. We need capital to start a business and we need to invest some money to go to blue ocean. Proper budget and expenses involved best to record in spreadsheet like MS Excel. It can be always trackted and easy to maintain. Include all expenses there like booth rental, properties, house rental, utilities and etc. After two or three blue oceans, you will know properly your actually budget and expenses and it will make us to do some frugal things if neccessary.

Geographical Study
It would be much easy if we know how’s the blue ocean’s geography. We can take shortest and easy trip or route to go from one location to one location. Furthermore, we don’t need to take risk of lost trip that will cost more money interm of fuel. I personally buy a map and use mobile GPS like Blackberry Map and Google Maps. My friends use some GPS device like Garmin Nuvi for this purpose. I think this is very good idea too.

Togetherness and Teamworking in doing all activities. We go to booth in one car. We go to briefing session in one car and things like that. We build our teamworking become stronger and stronger. In teamworking building, the first step we want to see is your participation in every activities done. We do not want you as yourself and I as myself alone sucess in blue ocean. Then, we must do it together. Now and in the future.

Activity Management to get production and recruitment. Since we cannot compromise on activities, do it properly and continously. Set a daily or weekly standard target of activities to do like how many approaches, new contacts, presentations and closing.

Feedback and Feedforward
Get some feedback from your friends that also going to blue oceans for improvement. I’m am sure you will gel better ideas and suggestions to get best results. Share experiences each other towards and jot it down and choose which suitable with you and your blue ocean. Another thing is feedforward meaning future plan and action that will taken based on what we have experienced. Never repeat mistakes twice. Thinking how to make it better in everyway.

Blue ocean is always good stategy to execute and it need proper plan and togetherness. While red ocean market is become tougher and tougher to penetrate, blue ocean gives so big hope.
